#3 Richie Steamboat's time in WWE was short lived | Son of Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat
Richie Steamboat is the son of the legendary WWF/ WWE Superstar Ricky Steamboat. He has a background in amateur wrestling and was trained by his father, Harley Race, and in the Pro-Wrestling NOAH Dojo before making his way to WWE.
He signed with the WWE in 2009, being placed in the developmental territory of Florida Championship Wrestling [FCW] by mid-2012 it had been rebranded as NXT and he would make his debut on the brand in June. In November 2012 Steamboat would suffer a substantial back injury that required surgery, this would be the end of his in-ring career. In 2015 his father, Ricky Steamboat confirmed this.
While his career was cut short, he did achieve a lot during his time in FCW. He became the second FCW Grand Slam Champion, with the first being Seth Rollins, holding the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship, the FCW Jack Brisco 15 Championship, and the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship with Seth Rollins.
