#1. Roman Reigns - A heel turn that took his WWE career to the next level
Roman Reigns was still largely cheered as a babyface in 2019, but in 2020, he took a five-month-long hiatus. When he returned at SummerSlam 2020, things weren't the same. Not only did he align with Paul Heyman, but in doing so, he finally turned heel.
WWE decided to use the lack of crowds as an opportunity, and Roman Reigns won the Universal Championship in his first match back. Since then, Roman Reigns has been the leading man on SmackDown and has been enjoying a great run as a tyrannical heel.

Now going by the nickname of The Tribal Chief, he has consistently been one of the best parts of WWE in the last few months. Like Sasha Banks, Roman Reigns is currently enjoying the longest World Championship reign of his WWE career.
It's a bit surprising, especially since he had four World Championship reigns before that - one of which was a coronation at WrestleMania.
It's safe to say that Roman Reigns is currently having the best run of his WWE career. At this rate, he may finally reach the level of popularity that WWE has wanted him to be.
