Will WWE ever be able to make Asuka great again?

Its no secret that Asuka has had a momentum issue ever since losing to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34, but it was her title program with Carmella that showed just how little WWE thought of The Empress of Tomorrow. Unfortunately for Asuka, that means she is no doubt doomed to mid-card purgatory for the foreseeable future.

With that being said, her disastrous title feud with Carmella, her momentum killing bad booking and her inability to cut a promo all work together to create a perfect storm situation for Asuka. In fact, its interesting that its no one thing that makes her not main event ready, but the most prominent one would probably be how WWE books her.

In the end, Asuka isn't going to be ready for a main event title push again until the writers start taking her more seriously. They also need to somehow tap into what made Asuka special in the first place, which would really go along way in assuring fans that they are willing to book her correctly this time.
