Randy Orton is on a three-match losing streak at WWE Backlash

The Viper Randy Orton is the favorite to beat his opponent Edge in a technical wrestling match at WWE Backlash 2020. However, his past performances at this event have not been so great. Orton's last three singles matches at WWE Backlash have all culminated in a defeat for The Viper.

Randy Orton's five losses at WWE Backlash

Randy Orton battled Jeff Hardy for the United States title in 2018, just to fall short in the one-on-one match. In 2017, Jinder Mahal shockingly defeated him to claim the WWE Championship in the main event of this show, whereas the year before that, Orton had lost to Bray Wyatt via forfeit.

His last victory at Backlash came in 2009 when The Legacy defeated Batista, Shane McMahon, and Triple H in a six-man tag match. But, as mentioned earlier, Orton was a part of both the fatal-four way matches for the WWE title that happened in 2007 and 2008, losing in both of them.

The Apex Predator would probably end his Backlash losing streak this year with a massive win over The Rated-R Superstar this Sunday.
