IMPACT Wrestling and WWE have had an interesting relationship over the past decade. At one point the two promotions were seen as bitter rivals but the feud took quite the turn when former IMPACT Wrestling President Dixie Carter appeared on WWE programming.

Back in 2017, following his return to WWE after almost a decade, the company created a documentary about Kurt Angle that would be streamed on the WWE Network.

Kurt Angle spent the best part of his career at IMPACT Wrestling, or TNA as it was known at the time, so it made sense to have someone to represent the company. It came as a shock when it was revealed that Dixie Carter would be part of the documentary.

At the time, Carter was still part of IMPACT Wrestling and the company was transitioning into a new era with Anthem Sports and Entertainment. Carter was a well-known face after appearing on-screen several times for TNA and still remains a minority owner of the company.
