When John Cena was a full-time member of the WWE roster, he became one of the biggest and most popular superstars at the time. He was a multiple-time champion.

Cena has since crossed over to become a mainstream star, something that not many WWE Superstars manage to achieve. Like The Rock, John Cena is currently enjoying a successful Hollywood career.

John Cena was last seen on WWE screens at WrestleMania 36. On the show, he fought in a cinematic Firefly Funhouse match against The Fiend.

Many fans suspected that he would make an appearance at this year's event, but that did not come to fruition, making it the first WrestleMania he had missed for quite some time.

Given John Cena's crossover appeal, WWE may want to wait for events with fans in attendance to bring him back. Cena's busy schedule may also be a part of this, as he missed WrestleMania 37 due to him filming HBO Max series Peacemaker in Canada.

It would be great to see John Cena back in WWE in some capacity, even if it would be just a one-off pay-per-view appearance.
