It was just last week on SmackDown where Drew Gulak competed against Daniel Bryan in the first round of the tournament to crown a new Intercontinental Champion. After a technical masterpiece, he lost the match by submission. It later came out that Gulak had parted ways with the promotion, much to the shock of the WWE Universe.
Reports suggest that the two parties could not agree on a deal to renew Gulak's contract and, hence, he became a free agent. With his contract expiring, Gulak doesn't have a 90-day-no-compete clause to worry about, leading to rumors that he may appear at AEW Double or Nothing.
While he could always choose to resign with WWE, he may also opt to test the waters elsewhere. Drew Gulak could undoubtedly become a huge star in AEW, thanks to his impressive in-ring skills. AEW Superstar Chuck Taylor even teased a reunion with Gulak following his WWE exit. Could Drew Gulak take his chance in the Casino Ladder Match and make a big impact a little over a week after his WWE exit?
