#3. WWE Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews

Apollo Crews is about to enter his eighth year as a WWE Superstar. He made his debut on NXT in August 2014 and has since become a well-known name on the roster.
During his time on NXT, Crews competed in five NXT Championship matches but failed to capture the title. He later moved to the main roster, where he had several shots to capture the RAW Tag Team Championships alongside Titus O'Neil but again came up short.

Last year, Crews tasted glory for the first time since joining WWE when he became United States Champion after defeating Andrade on Monday Night RAW. He held the title for three months before losing it to Bobby Lashley at Payback.
Throughout his career, the 33-year-old had several shots at the Intercontinental Championship. Although his first attempt to capture the title came in 2016 against The Miz, he did not succeed until this year's WrestleMania when he defeated Big E in a Nigerian Drum Fight.
Despite spending all these years under WWE's roof and being a former United States Champion and the current Intercontinental Champion, Crews has never had the chance to fight for either of the two top titles, the WWE and Universal.
