If being tasked with going along with the comedy gimmick of Rusev Day isn't enough for the WWE Universe to see that the company is not very serious about The Bulgarian Brute these days, maybe the fact that he was originally rumored for a main event angle with Shane McMahon upon his return will help fans understand that something has gone horribly wrong.

Not only that, Rusev was also split up from his real-life wife, Lana, on television and while the two could also team back up at a later date, it seems like WWE is comfortable with the way things are for now. With that being said, maybe Rusev, along with his partner, Aiden English, will shine again and be given a gimmick that could propel him back to the top of the card.

In the end though, its hard to be taken too seriously with a storyline like Rusev Day.
