#1 The Miz
The one thing that every Royal Rumble match as of late has not been able to produce is a genuinely villainous moment. While Roman Reigns' involvement in every Royal Rumble match can produce heat any heel dream of, WWE need to boost the momentum of a genuinely cunning villain.
There is no heel on the roster that is better at generating heat than The Miz. Miz is the last of a breed of heels that knows how to get any crowd to spew mountains of hate against them. Thus, what better way to get the masses hating The Miz than having him enter at number 50 when the crowd is expecting a babyface to walk through the curtain.
Charlotte Flair to return and wrestle a CURRENT CHAMPION?
While Miz is involved in the marquee fatal four-way ladder match for the IC Title earlier in the night, WWE would possibly have him do double duty at this event. Moreover, the best reason for The Miz to enter at that favorable spot is to sneak behind an unsuspecting Daniel Bryan and eliminate him.
WWE can push aside a pop to give Miz the momentum he needs to reign as Smackdown Live’s greatest heel for the rest of this year and add another chapter to his heated feud with Daniel Bryan.
