Jinder Mahal made a huge ruckus when he was drafted to SmackDown Live during his first Superstar Shake-Up. He won the Breakthrough Battle Royal started a feud with the then WWE Champion Randy Orton and won his first WWE Title at Backlash.

He held on to the title for a total of 170 days before losing the title to the current champ AJ Styles. Not long after that, Mahal rose to prominence again when he won the US title. Things took a turn for the worst when Mahal as US champ was traded to Raw .

During the superstar Shake-Up he took the title to raw and lost it immediately to Jeff Hardy who then took the title back to SmackDown. Since then Mahal's spot on the card has greatly decreased and he went from this angry intimidating man to this sort-of zen-like character. Jinder has taken a chill pill for his own sake but at the same time he has totally lost his edge
