The most significant aim of a wrestler is to earn the respect of his/her peers and the audience. What separates a wrestler from a Superstar is the amount of recognition they receive while they are active competitors between the ropes.
This recognition comes naturally in the form of Championship titles and Hall of Fame inductions. Every wrestler in the WWE who has competed inside the squared circle dreams of getting their hands on the most coveted prize in sports entertainment.
While there are tons of superstars who have had the honour to be called a Champion in the WWE, there are still some bonafide superstars who are yet to get their place in history.
Here are the 5 Superstars who have not held a single title on the main roster:
#5 Nia Jax

Main Roster Debut: July 19th, 2016
Championship Opportunities: 3
Nia Jax carries a strong resume and possesses all the craft that could lead her to the top of the mountain. ''The Samoan'' was booked strongly in her initial run on the main roster, but lost her momentum amidst a competitive women's division.
It's been almost 2 years since she has been working for the red brand and 'The Irresistible Force' holds a 74.52% loss record after competing in more than 140 matches.
Her first championship match on the main roster came at WrestleMania 33 in a Fatal 4-Way which Bayley won. Jax participated in another Fatal 5-Way PPV match for the Women's Championship at No Mercy, 2017 which was ultimately won by Alexa Bliss.
She's currently scheduled to face Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women's Championship at WrestleMania 34.
Despite her poor record on the main roster, her fantastic character enactment could elevate her stock within the company and lead her to the Women's Championship at WrestleMania 34.
#4 Elias

Main Roster Debut: April 10th, 2017
Championship Opportunities: 1
One superstar that surely stands a legitimate chance of becoming a superstar is Elias. His heel mannerisms have tremendous potential, and the guy can easily play the crowd.
However, despite being so talented, Elias has never won a Championship on the main roster. His initial run as an in-ring performer on Raw got overlooked, but his brilliant character work grew on the WWE Universe and forced the company to promote him more.
He currently holds a 62.71% loss record on the main roster and has only competed in one Championship match against Roman Reigns for the Intercontinental Title on Raw.
There have been speculations regarding his role at WrestleMania 34 with rumours of him teaming up with Braun Strowman to take on the Bar.
If that's the case, then we could finally see ''The Drifter'' get his first Championship on the main roster.
#3 Sami Zayn
![Wil l](https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/4918e-1522488256-800.jpg?w=190 190w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/4918e-1522488256-800.jpg?w=720 720w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/4918e-1522488256-800.jpg?w=640 640w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/4918e-1522488256-800.jpg?w=1045 1045w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/4918e-1522488256-800.jpg?w=1200 1200w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/4918e-1522488256-800.jpg?w=1460 1460w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/4918e-1522488256-800.jpg?w=1600 1600w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/4918e-1522488256-800.jpg 1920w)
Main Roster Debut: May 4th, 2015
Championship Opportunities: 6
Sami Zayn has been an incredible asset to the WWE, primarily because of his versatility between the ropes.
His main roster debut saw him challenge John Cena for the U.S. Championship and while the match was fresh, Zayn suffered a shoulder injury during the match which delayed his main-roster run.
He currently holds a 45.99% loss record on the main roster. ''The Underdog'' has had multiple championship opportunities and while he has come close, he has never held a single title on the main roster.
Despite being overlooked, Sami's recent alliance with Kevin Owens has catapulted him to relevance. And since they are in such prominent positions at WrestleMania 34, there's a strong possibility that Sami Zayn might win a Championship in 2018.
#2 Samoa Joe
![The Dest](https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/8bb38-1522489060-800.jpg?w=190 190w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/8bb38-1522489060-800.jpg?w=720 720w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/8bb38-1522489060-800.jpg?w=640 640w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/8bb38-1522489060-800.jpg?w=1045 1045w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/8bb38-1522489060-800.jpg?w=1200 1200w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/8bb38-1522489060-800.jpg?w=1460 1460w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/8bb38-1522489060-800.jpg?w=1600 1600w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/8bb38-1522489060-800.jpg 1920w)
Main Roster Debut: January 30th, 2017
Championship Opportunities: 3 times
Samoa Joe's physicality and in-ring viciousness have cemented his position as one of the most dominant heels in recent memory.
''The Destroyer'' made his main roster debut on January 30th, 2017 and since then, Joe has been strongly protected and continues to be a marquee man for the company.
Having competed in only 80 matches on the main roster, ''The Samoan Submission Machine'' has fought for the Universal Championship twice and also faced Roman Reigns for the Intercontinental Championship on Raw in a losing effort.
Joe is currently inactive as a competitor due to his injury woes but has been confirmed to compete for the Intercontinental Championship at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia.
If everything falls at the right place, then we could see him walking out of the event as your new Intercontinental Champion.
#1 Braun Strowman
![The](https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/275cf-1522489862-800.jpg?w=190 190w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/275cf-1522489862-800.jpg?w=720 720w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/275cf-1522489862-800.jpg?w=640 640w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/275cf-1522489862-800.jpg?w=1045 1045w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/275cf-1522489862-800.jpg?w=1200 1200w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/275cf-1522489862-800.jpg?w=1460 1460w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/275cf-1522489862-800.jpg?w=1600 1600w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2018/03/275cf-1522489862-800.jpg 1920w)
Main Roster Debut: August 24th, 2015
Championship Opportunities: 5 times
If there's any superstar who has carried the company on his back for the better part of last year, it is Braun Strowman.
''The Monster Among Men'' is the hottest commodity on Monday Night Raw and continually delivers exceptional performances and moments. However, despite being a strongly booked performer, Strowman is yet to get his hands on the World Championship.
He currently holds a satisfactory loss record of around 40.96% and has competed in 5 Championship bouts.
His last Championship match came at the Royal Rumble which saw him and Kane lose to Brock Lesnar in a decent outing.
There's no denying that Braun Strowman's larger than life character is bigger than the Championship, but if the Monster needs to stay on the top of the mountain, the Universal Championship needs to get these hands.
