Shawn Michaels is considered by many as the greatest performer to ever step foot in a WWE ring. The Heart Break Kid has been part of many of the most iconic matches in WWE's history.
From the Montreal Screwjob to the first ever Hell in a Cell match, the Heart Break Kid has been WWE's most controversial yet one of their greatest stars. However, a performer like HBK too wasn't unscathed from injuries.

At the 1998 Royal Rumble, Michaels faced The Undertaker in a casket match. During the match, Michaels landed awkwardly on the casket, crushing one of his spinal discs. While The Showstopper went on to win the match, the injury forced him into retirement after WrestleMania XIV.
However, 4 years later, Shawn Michaels made his return on Raw as the newest member of the reformed NWO. Michaels would go on to be part of several iconic matches most notably his matches against The Undertaker at WrestleMania, also earning the moniker of Mr. WrestleMania.
