The Charismatic Enigma, Jeff Hardy, had been out of action for a long time because of his real-life issues and injuries. He made his impending return to WWE on the first SmackDown episode that WWE aired live from the Performance Center. There were no fans to cheer for the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion, but he wrestled a fantastic match with King Corbin nonetheless.
Because he is one of the most decorated and popular Superstars on the roster, it seemed like WWE would soon insert him in a mega storyline in the lead up to WrestleMania. The company announced many last-minute matches like Aleister Black vs. Bobby Lashley and King Corbin vs. Elias, so there was still a little ray of hope for the fans of Jeff Hardy.
Unfortunately, with WrestleMania being just one SmackDown episode away, it is highly unlikely that WWE will set up a match for the high-flying Superstar from here. As for his immediate future after Mania, however, a feud with The Fiend Bray Wyatt will be best for business because Hardy has mentioned that he has 'crazy ideas' for that rivalry.
