There are a number of Superstars in WWE who could thrive in the heel role, however, they are stuck as faces.
Many of the stars on this list are much better and more entertaining as the bad guy. They may be a successful face or a total bust, but either way, enough is enough and it is time for a change.
No time is better than the WrestleMania season for some mixing up. These five stars need to join the dark side.
#5 Randy Orton
It's understandable why Randy Orton is a face. He pushes a lot of merchandise and he has the most 'over' finishing move in WWE. To be honest, though, he isn't fun to watch as a face. He looks bored and he admits to wanting to be in a heel role. As a face there isn't much of a character behind Orton; he seems bland.
The Apex Predator is at his best when he is a heel and thrives on being despised by the crowd. Most of his best moments have come as a heel. He clearly has more fun as a heel and when the wrestler is having a good time, that translates to the crowd.
SmackDown also is in need of some more top heels other than Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Orton could have some great feuds with Nakamura and Styles if he were to turn heel.
#4 Charlotte Flair
Charlotte has a lot of the same issues being a face that Orton does. There is no substance behind her being a face other than that she teams with Lynch and Naomi. The women's division is a better place with her as a heel. She is great as a heel and could provide SmackDown with a top heel in the division; a spot that is currently unfilled.
She badly needs some competition to feud with, and a heel Charlotte against face Becky Lynch or Asuka, if she moves over to the blue brand, would be awesome to watch. She gets the crowd behind whoever she opposes and that needs to be brought to Tuesday nights.
At WrestleMania, The Queen should be getting booed out of the building when trying to use any dirty tactic to end Asuka's undefeated streak.
#3 Bobby Roode
The Glorious One has worked as a face on the main roster to the shock of many. The mega 'over' theme song gives that a super boost of course, but either way, it has worked. Roode is a much better heel, however as he can turn the crowd on him in the blink of an eye.
He can give the mid-card of SmackDown an injection of life. Imagine if at WrestleMania we get a face Rusev versus a heel Roode.
The crowd would be on fire for Rusev because that is how good Roode is as a bad guy. Once, he is done in the mid-card he can easily fit into a top heel role. WWE shouldn't waste any time building him up as a heel.
#2 Finn Balor
Finn Balor is finally reunited with some good brothers and he needs to start acting like it. He can completely turn his back on the fans because it hasn't gotten him anywhere.
Anderson and Gallows could invade the chamber to help Balor win or losing the chamber could be the final straw. A personality change could do wonders for Balor's career right now.
The Balor Club could be a top faction in WWE, up there with the biggest factions in history. WWE just has to be willing to go all in on it. The first step is to turn Balor as soon as possible, and every reason to turn and it would be perfectly understandable.
He never got a rematch for the Universal title that he lost, and he seems to have been treated unfairly, so why wouldn't he want to gain the numbers advantage and use it to his advantage.
#1 Sasha Banks
It is incredible to think that Sasha Banks has still yet to be a heel on her own since she debuted on the main roster almost three years. She was apart of Team B.A.D. as a heel, but it isn't the same.
Banks is the best female heel in the WWE; a better heel than Charlotte or Bliss and that is clear from her phenomenal work in NXT. The way she carried herself and the promos she cut were great.
She needs to turn on Bayley and let the true boss come out. There is no woman in WWE who can do heel work like Sasha and it is overdue that WWE gives her the chance to shine in her best role.
She could bring some fresh feuds into the women's division and breathe new life into RAW's division or SmackDown, if she were to crossover.
