At Money in the Bank PPV earlier this year, Jinder Mahal faced Roman Reigns in a singles match, in a storyline which did not make sense.

The former WWE champion moved to RAW following the Superstar Shake-Up, and has a new gimmick (which happened following that match against Reigns) where he is a man of peace.

Mahal held the WWE Championship when he was on SmackDown, but he should be way down the pecking order for a shot at the Universal title. Like Corbin, Jinder is not one of the best heels on RAW, despite having a decent story with AJ Styles during their feud for the WWE Championship last year.
