One missed step in legitimizing The Nexus

With the first Money in the Bank pay-per-view taking places weeks after The Nexus debuted, this would seem like the perfect setup to make a new star.

The Nexus was on fire during the summer and the company should've put all their effort into making the members of the group into stars - starting with the leader, Wade Barrett.

The Miz went on to win the WWE Championship Money in the Bank match, but what would've happened if Barrett and The Nexus stormed the ring laying waste to everyone at ringside while Barrett climbed the ladder to secure the briefcase.

Then Barrett uses The Nexus to stop anyone from interfering in his cash-in match as he pins Sheamus or Randy Orton to become WWE Champion.

All the WWE would need to do to make this work is have The Nexus beat Team Cena at SummerSlam and the NXT rookies could reach their potential as a stable with their leader holding the company's most important title.
