#2 Rob Van Dam
For years, Jim Ross would regard Rob Van Dam as arguably the greatest Superstar to never be World Champion, and whilst this was high praise from the legendary commentator, it was something Van Dam wanted to change.
At WrestleMania 22 though, RVD started his journey to the WWE Championship, when he won the Money In the Bank ladder match, and announced he would be cashing in on John Cena at ECW: One Night Stand.
Threatening to have the title rechristened the ECW Championship if he won, RVD bested the champ, who received a truly hated reaction by the faithful ECW crowd.
Rather than re-name the title though, Van Dam kept it, and was awarded the original ECW title by Paul Heyman on the pilot of the brand.
His reign with both titles may not have been long, but Van Dam proved for those weeks that he was the whole... damn... show.
