The Scottish Psychopath Drew McIntyre should have already been a WWE Champion by now. But unfortunately for McIntyre, things haven't panned out the way they should have.
McIntyre is a complete package and has shown that he can deliver inside the ring as well as on the mic. Reports even suggested that the former IC Champion is favoured backstage and the top brass wanted to see him as Champion. A ill-timed injury, however, ruined those plans for McIntyre.

Here is what Sportskeeda's Tom Colohue had reported in Septemeber:
Drew didn’t tell people he was suffering until it was almost too late and there was a scramble to work around it. It could cost him later on. Nobody wants to see someone working injured. It really doesn’t help anything.
It is possible that these issues have set McIntyre's push back, but judging by his current booking on Monday Night RAW, it is clear that he is being built as a legitimate threat and it should not be a surprise if the former NXT Champion manages to win the WWE title next year.
