Confusing would be the right term to describe Ziggler's 2017 run. It started with meaningless matches against Apollo Crews and Kalisto and ended with him relinquishing the US Title.

The best role which Ziggler plays is that of an improver. He is extremely helpful to catapult other wrestlers' careers on the main roster. At Raw, most of them are already well-established. It looks as if WWE is in no mood to make him the champion. If he is to propel other's careers, then it's better he does it at the 'Land of Opportunities.'
