WWE Draft 2017: 5 Superstars who would benefit from the Superstar Shake-up

Could Cesaro finally be moved to SmackDown LIVE?

With the first Superstar Shake-up being closer than ever, the WWE Universe is itching to know which of their favourite Superstars could be making the switch. Rumours have been rampant but the WWE officials have remained quiet so far.

There are lots of Superstars that could be up for a trade but not all actually need the switch; here are 5 Superstars that would benefit from the upcoming WWE Superstar Shake-up.

#5 Alexa Bliss

Bliss as the SmackDown Women’s Champion

Since making her main roster debut back in July, Alexa Bliss has been on fire. She was already very popular back when she was in NXT but that popularity continued to grow when she made the move to SmackDown LIVE.

Bliss is currently one of the most popular women in WWE and can very much hold her own in the ring, as well as on the mic.

She has had a lot of success on the main roster, becoming SmackDown Women’s Champion after defeating Becky Lynch at TLC in December and then later in February became the first ever two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Now with Bliss’ throw-away championship rematch, it seems like she will be out of the SmackDown Women’s Championship picture for the foreseeable future. A move to RAW would be a great option for her.

It would really keep the momentum up to see her jump brands and continue to shine with rest of the female roster. Because of Alexa’s skill and popularity, she would be able to hang with the likes of Bayley and Sasha Banks and could even go on to become RAW Women’s Champion.

#4 American Alpha

AA with the SmackDown Tag Team Championships

Much like Alexa Bliss, American Alpha were hugely popular during their time in NXT. They are former NXT Tag Team Champions and recently enjoyed a run as the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, however, the latter didn’t seem like a reign with much meaning.

Their popularity has taken a hit recently and so has SmackDown LIVE’s tag team division. The division feels like it isn’t going anywhere and sticking around the blue brand is only going to hurt Alpha ever more, which is why a jump to RAW and their newly revived tag team division could do wonders for American Alpha.

They really need fan support and a feud with The Revival or The Hardy Boyz might just give American Alpha their magic back.

#3 Emma

Evil Emma

Emma recently returned on the RAW after WrestleMania 33 teaming with Nia Jax and Charlotte in a losing effort against Bayley, Sasha Banks and Dana Brooke. Emma received a nice pop when she returned, with many fans happy that she had ditched the controversial Emmalina gimmick.

She was a fan favourite during her NXT run and can easily see that type of success on the main roster if she is given the right opportunities. SmackDown LIVE is the home of opportunity and that’s exactly what Emma needs.

A title run feels more likely if she was to move to SmackDown LIVE, as the playing field seems ever compared to RAW’s Women’s division. Emma is great both in the ring and on the mic, I just hope that the backstage officials have faith in her.

#2 Finn Balor

Balor is a former Universal Champion

The Demon Finn Balor will enjoy success on either brand. However, with Lesnar at the start of a Universal Title run, it seems highly unlikely that anyone will get near the title anytime soon, especially someone with the stature of The Demon.

That’s why Finn moving to the blue brand would present a huge opportunity for himself and the roster.

I’m sure fans would love to see the demon face off against the likes of Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose, amongst others. With Balor back fresh from injury, he has a clean slate to work with which would make the transition one of the easier ones.

#1 Cesaro

Cesaro is a fan favorite

Although Cesaro has only recently dropped the RAW Tag Team titles, it seems as though, yet again, the WWE doesn’t know what to do with him. Cesaro has been underutilised for many years and fans have been clamouring for WWE to give him a main event push, but Cesaro has been stuck in the mid card.

Cesaro getting a higher level push on RAW seems like a dream for both the Swiss Superman and the fans alike. However, it doesn’t seem so far-from-reach on SmackDown LIVE. The fans will definitely get behind Cesaro which would allow WWE to insert him into the title picture with ease.

He is currently tag-teaming with Sheamus but moving only one-half of the team could break them up without having to turn one of them on the other, which would leave the door open for a future reunion.
