Bray Wyatt has been unstoppable in the WWE ever since he harnessed his Fiend persona and the recently concluded Survivor Series event only served up more evidence of that.
His opponent, the 'new Daniel Bryan' even tried reverting to his roots and tapping into the energy of the Yes! Movement, but to no avail.
The Fiend was undeniable, as he has been since his unholy presence first started haunting the WWE.
The most riveting thing about watching the Fiend in action is that he has not, until now, displayed one discernible weakness. No finisher seems to keep his shoulders down for the three count and his ever-growing collection of scalps only seems to add to his impious repertoire.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
He took the ominous red lighting from Kane. The mandible claw from Mick Foley. The WWE Universal Title from Seth Rollins. And at Survivor Series, he took Daniel Bryan's consciousness.
But where does it all culminate? When does the Fiend's reign of terror come to an end? Everyone who has stepped up to him, until now, has looked powerless to stop him.
Who does the WWE have to summon to finally bring the Fiend's unholy march to a halt?
This article speculates.
#5 CM Punk
CM Punk is strictly working with FOX and not the WWE...for now, that is, although almost every wrestling fan expects him to strap up his boots again at some point in time and make a return to the ring.
Some even speculate that WrestleMania 36 may play host to the grand comeback.
And if the Fiend continues leaving unconscious Superstars in his wake until then, having a megastar like CM Punk take him on at the event would present an intriguing clash of styles.
For one, CM Punk's ability with the microphone is unparalleled (as we're reminded every time he picks one up) and there hasn't been one opponent of his that he hasn't been able to get the better of verbally.
But will his verbal warfare have any effect on the hellish presence that is the Fiend? And will the Fiend be able to obliterate CM Punk's mental defences like it has done Seth Rollins' and Daniel Bryan's?
And for the fight itself, it's usually CM Punk who puts his opponents to sleep with his finisher. Could he have finally met his match?
#4 'Demon King' Finn Balor
Finn Balor may have been sent to NXT to refind his mojo but lest anyone forgets too soon, his 'Demon King' avatar is still undefeated in WWE.
On the surface, this match up should make tremendous sense because like the Fiend, the Demon King is also not of mortal human means.
Like the Fiend, the Demon King is also undefeated.
And like the Fiend, the Demon King also possesses an aura that enhances his vessel's abilities inside the ring.
Moreover, we never got to see Demon King vs Sister Abigail when they feuded in 2017 as Wyatt was taken sick just before the TLC event they were scheduled to fight at.
A feud between Demon King and the Fiend, for that reason if not any of the others mentioned, is a must-do for the WWE.
#3 Roman Reigns
It shouldn't be a surprise that the WWE's go-to guy whenever a monster needs taming is on this list.
Roman Reigns hasn't been pushed quite like he was before his leukemia relapse but he still retains his spot as one of the top dogs in the company - as his victory at Survivor Series shows.
Reigns has feuded with Wyatt before in the infamous 'Anyone but you, Roman' angle and got the better of the Eater of Worlds then.
Now, however, the advent of the Fiend has completely reworked the scenario.
It would be mighty interesting to see if Reigns still retains his dominance over Bray Wyatt with the Fiend in the picture or if he, like his former Shield brother Seth Rollins, wilts away in its overpowering presence.
For the Fiend, claiming the scalp of Roman Reigns would only further its standing as the most dominant character in WWE today.
#2 Brock Lesnar
With Brock Lesnar currently on RAW and carrying the WWE Championship, it seems unlikely that he will be crossing paths anytime soon with the Fiend, who's on SmackDown.
However, if the WWE decides to book them in a feud, the fans couldn't guess who would come out on top.
Brock Lesnar has been bested by the likes of Goldberg, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in recent history but every time, the Beast has gotten his own and then some back.
Lesnar is WWE's version of the immovable object in the sense that he has lodged himself into the Title picture and has been nigh un-removable since 2017.
His weasel-like advocate Paul Heyman dishes out spoilers while Lesnar runs roughshod over whoever steps up to him.
That script changes against the Fiend. Paul Heyman's barbed comments will not affect the ethereal creature while Lesnar's superhuman strength is likely to be equalled in the ring.
This match-up oozes intrigue.
#1 Undertaker
Whatever Vince McMahon thought in asking the Undertaker to prolong his in-ring career after his WrestleMania streak was snapped by Brock Lesnar - it may still prove to be beneficial at the end.
Although that would involve Undertaker losing to Bray Wyatt, we're still content with including it in this list purely because of the spectacle that it would produce when these two larger than life personas clash.
Like Undertaker went through a wheelhouse of personas before finally settling on the Deadman, Bray Wyatt has played around with the offerings of the nether realm quite a bit before he finally zeroed in on the Fiend character.
Most would agree that the Fiend is the most compelling mystical character to have made its mark in the WWE after the Undertaker.
And as such there absolutely has to be a 'passing of the torch' moment between the two.
