CM Punk is one Superstar that over 90% of the WWE Universe wants to see back in the ring. The former WWE Champion has always been linked with a move back to the squared circle of the company but he has not come close to it.

He is working on FOX's WWE Backstage and that might be the closest he ever comes to a WWE return. As per Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, Punk is on the list of Superstars Vince McMahon never wants to work with.

Adding to that, Punk's lawsuits and comments about WWE after his exit have never been forgotten. He has also said that he would never work a full schedule anymore and that might also play a role in why WWE might not consider rehiring him.

Punk has also claimed that the new style does not suit him and the game is completely different now.

"It's wild. There's a lot of it. There's so much wrasslin'. I understand. It's not for me. It's not my generation. It's a completely different game. There's good, and there's bad."
