The Extraordinary man did briefly hold the Intercontinental Title, though many still hope Balor will return to the World title picture in the near future.

Finn Balor is a true anomaly in WWE.

Debuting in 2014 in NXT, Balor is one of the company's most gifted and beloved stars, which is perhaps why the company made him their very first WWE Universal Champion.

Unfortunately, an injury forced the Irishman to surrender the title the next day, and Balor has struggled to get back into the World title picture since his return nearly two years ago.

In WWE's defense, Balor did briefly hold the Intercontinental Championship, winning it from Lashley, but lost it back to him mere weeks later,

Perhaps a move to SmackDown would be the best call for Balor, as many argue it is the more athletic of the two brands, where Balor's star could shine much brighter.
