From the moment Alberto Del Rio appeared on SmackDown in 2010, it was clear the WWE had high hopes.

An accomplished star, Del Rio was quickly pushed, winning the 40-Man Royal Rumble match, the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match, and finally the WWE Championship, all in his rookie year.

Winning a total of four World titles with the company, Del Rio probably won't be winning a fifth, as he has burned bridges with WWE, publicly criticizing the company, and heir-apparent, Triple H.

Being part of a very toxic relationship with Paige in 2016 doesn't help Del Rio's chances either, and whilst the Mexican Aristocrat says he expects he'll return, we can't see it happening.

With too many bad headlines to his name, the WWE wish they could distance themselves more from Del Rio.
