5 Surprises for the RAW after Survivor Series: 2 former champions set to return, Top Superstar turning heel?

Will Ronda Rousey return to RAW tonight?
Will Ronda Rousey return to RAW tonight?

WWE Survivor Series 2019 was a fantastic show and a great night for fans of NXT. The Black and Yellow brand left with the bragging rights meaning it's groundhog day for RAW and SmackDown. What fallout can we expect on WWE RAW tonight? How will the Superstars of the Red brand react?

Apart from Survivor Series fallout, WWE could also have a number of surprises up their sleeve for tonight's episode of RAW, including a couple of big returns.

#5 The Kabuki Warriors blindside Charlotte Flair again

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

The RAW women's team looked to be in a good position at Survivor Series until an incident between Asuka and Charlotte Flair derailed their momentum. Asuka had just pinned SmackDown star, Dana Brooke, when Charlotte Flair tagged herself in, much to Asuka's consternation.

For a moment, it looked like Asuka had walked out on her team, only for her to return and hit Charlotte Flair with the green mist. This blinded Flair and allowed Lacey Evans of SmackDown to hit her with the Women's Right and pin her. The match was eventually won by Team NXT.

Charlotte cannot be happy after how things went down at Survivor Series and will be looking for revenge on RAW tonight. While most of us expect Charlotte to get some modicum of revenge, WWE could surprise us all by booking things slightly differently.

WWE could book Asuka and Kairi Sane to take out Charlotte again which could lead to a storyline where Flair finds a partner to challenge the Kabuki Warriors for their WWE Women's Tag-Team Championship.

#4 John Morrison makes a surprise return

A number of weeks ago, rumors emerged suggesting John Morrison had signed a deal to return to the WWE. Morrison, a former WWE Intercontinental Champion and Tag-Team Champion, had left the company in 2011.

He went on to forge a successful career outside WWE in Lucha Underground, AAA and Impact Wrestling and now looks primed to return to the place where he first made a name for himself.

Fans will remember Morrison as a top babyface, and one of the most important things WWE needs to do when he comes back is to book him right and make sure his debut is meaningful.

Tonight's RAW could be a great opportunity to have Morrison make his return to WWE if his destination is indeed the Red brand. An ideal way to start Morrison off could be a feud with WWE United States Champion AJ Styles over the title.

Styles and The OC are currently all over Humberto Carrillo, a storyline that Morrison could easily slot into. He could make his return on RAW and be the man to save Carrillo from a vicious beatdown at the hands of The OC.

#3 Rey Mysterio and Dominick ambush Brock Lesnar backstage

Rey Mysterio challenged Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship last night at the Survivor Series PPV. The match came about after Lesnar brutally assaulted both Rey Mysterio and his son Dominick on RAW.

Lesnar also beat Mysterio's close friend and UFC legend Cain Velasquez at the Crown Jewel event. Mysterio promised vengeance on behalf of his family at Survivor Series but despite taking Lesnar to the limit, he came up just short on the night.

This was in spite of help from his son Dominick, who came out to try and even the odds for his dad, even hitting Lesnar with a low blow and a frog splash himself.

WWE could decide to have Mysterio continue his quest to win the WWE Championship and get his revenge on Lesnar. The best way to do this would be for Rey to continue his guerrilla warfare against Lesnar, assaulting him backstage on RAW along with his son Dominick.

Rey has been a great underdog babyface in this feud so far and continuing this would be a great idea.

#2 Seth Rollins turns heel

Burning down the Firefly Fun House didn't endear Rollins to fans
Burning down the Firefly Fun House didn't endear Rollins to fans

Something has gone wrong with Seth Rollins' perception amongst WWE fans in recent months. It's not just the way WWE booked Rollins as the Universal Champion that is to blame for this, although the finish to his match against The Fiend at Hell In A Cell was a tipping point.

Rollins' own behavior on social media and certain things he's said in interviews haven't helped. Rollins was booed at Full Sail earlier this week and also at Survivor Series last night. A certain section of fans even booed in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel.

Despite Rollins' run as a babyface not going well, there's a very easy fix to this situation for WWE and something they could pull the trigger on as soon as tonight - turning Rollins heel once again.

Rollins is naturally suited to being a heel and a turn could be what he needs to get back to his best. Rollins has had some of his best moments in WWE as a heel and now that a Shield reunion is nowhere on the cards, it's time to return to being the bad guy once again.

#1 Ronda Rousey makes her return to WWE

Could Ronda Rousey return to RAW tonight?
Could Ronda Rousey return to RAW tonight?

The main event of Survivor Series saw RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch, SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley and NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler square off in a triple threat match.

One thing WWE heavily teased near the end of the PPV was former RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey's return. However, that never ended up taking place in the end. Instead, Baszler forced Bayley to tap out, winning the match for the Black and Yellow brand. Despite the win, Baszler was laid out by Becky Lynch as the PPV went off the air.

Although Rousey didn't show up on Survivor Series last night, there is certainly a chance that she makes a surprise return on tonight's episode of WWE RAW. Although we don't expect a singles match between Lynch and Rousey right away, WWE could slowly build towards one that would eventually take place at WrestleMania.
