WWE Fastlane 2021 will feature Universal Champion Roman Reigns defending his title against Daniel Bryan. A major twist was added to the match this week on Friday Night SmackDown as Edge defeated Jey Uso to become the special guest enforcer for the Universal title bout at WWE Fastlane.

It was at WWE Elimination Chamber last month where the 2021 men's Royal Rumble winner Edge chose to face Reigns at WrestleMania 37 for the Universal title. Surprisingly, WWE has been teasing an interesting side-story here with Edge and Bryan, two of the biggest babyfaces, having tensions between them.

Things have been pretty bad between the two as Daniel Bryan even delivered a Running Knee to Edge a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown. With Edge becoming the special guest enforcer, the Universal Championship match at WWE Fastlane is sure to have a lot of drama.

A surprising direction that WWE can take is for Edge to get into an argument with Bryan mid-match and end up attacking him and turning heel. This would likely make the WrestleMania 37 Universal Championship match a triple threat involving Bryan. Edge has been a great babyface, but fans would love to see the heel version of The Rated-R Superstar one last time.
