This rivalry begin at Extreme Rules 2018, where Jeff Hardy lost his United States Title to Shinsuke Nakamura, following which Randy Orton returned and attacked Hardy. Ever since then, Orton has been bashing Hardy on SmackDown.

Orton finally returned to his heel persona, after fans had been clamoring for that role in a long time. Now both are set to face each other inside Hell in a Cell, Orton has more chances of walking out victorious than Hardy, because he needs this win to continue this feud. Furthermore, Hardy can recover from any loss since the fans always back him.

But it would be really surprising if he picks up the win, after all we know Hardy always puts his body on the line. In the past WWE 24 made on The Hardy Boyz, he shared his last hope for doing something within a Hell in a Cell match in which he could be the 'Charismatic Enigma' of old one more time.

So, there might be a chance Orton loses to Hardy after he performs a huge stunt. Maybe a Swanton Bomb off the Cell.
