Kenny Omega is one of the most talented wrestlers in the world. I am sure that isn’t a shock to anybody. But, he hasn’t really had a chance to showcase his skills in AEW yet. That changed on Saturday night.
While the skill of Kenny Omega is well known, CIMA is more of a surprise. He is a long time Dragon Gate wrestler, but not really known to a general wrestling public. After Fight for the Fallen, that view of him should really change. It was easily the best match of the card: The pacing was fantastic, the false finishes were believable and the kicks were flawless. It was amazing to think that these two were having their first ever singles match against each other. With the amazing strong style, you would assume they have been fighting for years.
It wasn’t too surprising to see Kenny Omega win. After all, he has a huge match with Jon Moxley at All Out. But the hope is CIMA’s star making performance will not be lost after having the match of the night.
