The BroserWeights won the NXT Tag Team Championships at TakeOver: Portland this year

The unlikely duo of Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne came together as surprise entrants for the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic earlier this year. To everyone's surprise, The BroserWeights defeated Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster, Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel, and the Grizzled Young Veterans to eventually win the tournament and earn a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships.

The duo would claim these titles from the Undisputed Era's Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly at NXT TakeOver: Portland and have held on to the same ever since. While they've done remarkably well as a team, we must not forget that Riddle and Dunne were always meant to shine in the singles division.

The Original Bro has already challenged for the NXT Championship while The Bruiserweight held on to his NXT UK Championship for a record 685 days. At the same time, the NXT tag division is stacked and splitting up The BroserWeights would allow room for the younger talents to flourish.
