#2 WWE should start planning an AJ Styles heel turn

the
AJ Styles became a babyface in April 2017

Don’t get us wrong, AJ Styles is amazing. The WWE champion produces high-quality match after high-quality match and there’s an argument to be had that, after back-to-back years as WWE Superstar of the Year, he is on course to be the company’s top guy again over the next six months.

However, it feels like there’s something missing with “The Phenomenal One” right now. Yes, he maintains plenty of fan support as a babyface, but audience reactions are nowhere near as loud as they were for him in 2017.

Remember when CM Punk held the WWE Championship for 434 days? He turned heel midway through the reign, which kept his title storylines fresh and exciting, and it feels like Styles – one of WWE’s best heels in recent memory – would benefit from undergoing another change of attitude by the end of this year.
