#4. Chris Jericho never headlined WrestleMania
This one is especially heartbreaking because fans were actually incredibly close to seeing it take to place a few years back. At WrestleMania 33, Chris Jericho defended the United States Championship against Kevin Owens.
The former best friends were involved in arguably the best storyline the WWE had produced in years at that point. After bonding over their shared hatred of Roman Reigns and other WWE Superstars, the duo became inseparable. They would help one another any chance they could.

Eventually, Jericho held the US title while Kevin Owens was the Universal Champion. While they battled one another on The Grandest Stage of Them All for his belt, Chris Jericho has often said that it was the Universal title they were originally going to clash over.
That's right, after the success of the Festival of Friendship, something that many of us are still getting over to this day, Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho were white-hot. Jericho claimed that not only were they going to face off for the title, but they were going to compete in the main event of WrestleMania 33.
Unfortunately, at this time, WWE fell into a weird obsession with Goldberg. The former WCW star would demolish a believable world champion, steal the main event for himself, and leave WWE fans a bit bitter.
Alright, it's only happened twice, but it's sucked both times. Chris Jericho even mentioned as late as his recent appearance on Busted Open on Oct. 7. Le Champion stated that being the second match on the card is insulting, and it was the main reason he decided to walk away from wrestling as a whole in 2017.
Thankfully, Don Callis approached him with the idea of wrestling Kenny Omega for NJPW, and the rest is history. Still, imagine a universe where Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens was the main event of WrestleMania 33 instead of Roman Reigns and The Undertaker. A match that both men agreed is one of the worst main events in WrestleMania history. One can dream.
