5 Things fans don't want to see happening at Royal Rumble, but will

John Cena and Becky Lynch

We are only almost a week away from WWE's next, or should I say, the first one of the big four PPV's, Royal Rumble.

Thus far, only seven matches have been confirmed for the PPV, excluding the respective Men's and Women's Royal Rumble match.

Moreover, many superstars have confirmed their entry into the Men's and Women's Royal Rumble matches, including John Cena, Seth Rollins, and Ember Moon.

However, like every year, many surprises will be in store for fans at this Royal Rumble too. We could probably see a few legends returning from the past or some title changing hands.

Therefore, let's run through a list of those things that will probably happen at the Royal Rumble PPV, but we as the fans don't want to see them happening.

#5 Daniel Bryan losing the WWE Championship

The New Daniel Bryan
The New Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan or say "The New Daniel Bryan" is all set to defend his title against the former WWE Champion, AJ Styles at the end of this month.

Though, Bryan's reigns as the WWE Champion was expected to be a long one, due to Vince McMahon recently pushing Styles or "The Real AJ Styles", it seems that Style may very well regain the WWE Championship for the third time.

Also, going into the match Bryan is still favorite, while Styles is the underdog.

Moreover, if Vince McMahon decides to end Bryan reign as the WWE Champion now, then it won't be fair as the veteran is playing his role as the champion perfectly. But if Bryan holds on to the title until this year's WrestleMania, then it would open more options for us to see a great match, maybe between Bryan and Samoa Joe.

Therefore, let's just wait and see if we will see Styles dethrone Bryan for the WWE Championship.

#4 Sasha Banks loses cleanly

Ronda Rousey and Sasha Banks

Last week on Raw, Sasha Banks earned an opportunity to face Ronda Rousey at Royal Rumble for the Raw Women's Championship when she defeated Nia Jax.

Though Banks is involved in the women's championship picture after a very long time, the chances of her becoming the new Raw Women's Champion are slight.

Moreover, as Ronda Rousey is already rumored to face Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair, or both of them at WrestleMania 35, it takes away all the chances of us seeing Banks as our new Raw Women's Champion.

Though the idea of a match between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch/ Charlotte Flair at WM 35 sounds fantastic, if Rousey retains her title pinning Sasha clean then it won't be fair as this move could bring "The Legit Boss" into the limelight.

However, if WWE really wants Ronda to beat Banks then they could use a sort of count-out victory, as it will neither affect Rousey's reign as the champion, and Banks as a challenger.

#3 The Bar losing the SmackDown tag team titles

The Bar
The Bar

The Bar became the SmackDown Tag-Team Champions when they defeated The New Day at SmackDown 1000, thanks to the outside interference by Big Show.

Now, Sheamus and Cesaro are scheduled to defend their title against the newly formed tag-team, the team of Shane McMahon and The Miz.

Moreover, the odds for The Bar retaining their tag-team titles are less, as they go into the match as the underdog.

Though a title win for The Miz and Shane McMahon will make fans invest in them more as it'll be their first encounter against The Bar. But it won't be right if they win the title on their first attempt.

Therefore, it would be best if WWE should end their match in DQ. Perhaps The Bar could use their heel-ish work to get themselves disqualified.

This way The Bar will retain their title and The Miz and Shane can still challenge them for a rematch, maybe at the WWE Elimination Chamber. The co-besties could then win the title from The Bar to become the new SmackDown Live Tag-Team Champions.

#2 Charlotte wins the Women's Royal Rumble match

Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair

Thus far, Charlotte Flair hasn't announced her entry into the second annual Women's Royal Rumble match, but it is a matter of time before it is made official.

Most of the fans already know that Charlotte Flair's appearance in this year's WrestleMania is rumored to be alongside Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch in a triple threat match.

However, Rousey is already Raw Women's Champion, and hopefully, she will be until WM 35, therefore, either Becky or Charlotte has to win this year's Women's Royal Rumble match in order to book their place in the main event of WrestleMania against Rousey.

Considering all this, Lynch will have find a way to fight Rousey post-rumble, as I believe Rousey will interfere in Becky's match at Rumble match so, Becky would have one more reason to fight her at WrestleMania, no matter if it's a triple threat match involving her former best friend, Charlotte Flair.

#1 Finn Balor coming short

Finn Balor
Finn Balor

Finn Balor has been recently moved from this year's Men's Royal Rumble match to the Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble PPV.

Also, as per the latest report, Balor replacing Strowman in the Universal Championship match was the backup plan from a long time. It wasn't any sort of last-minute change.

That being said, Lesnar is rumored to defend his Universal Championship against Seth Rollins in the main event of WrestleMania 35.

Considering this, it rules out all chances of Balor becoming the two-time Universal Champion. If WWE indeed wants to move forward with the plan of the aforementioned match, then the idea of Balor defeating The Beast Incarnate at Rumble will only stay in our wishlist.
