#2 Bayley retained the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Extreme Rules 2019

This year’s Extreme Rules will see SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley defend her title against Nikki Cross in a one-on-one match.

During the 2019 edition of Extreme Rules, Bayley defended the SmackDown Women’s Championship in a triple threat match against Cross and Alexa Bliss. At that time, Cross and Bliss were assigned to the RAW brand.

While Bayley had a tough time defending her title against the two best friends, she managed to counter the Twisted Bliss attempt and later hit Cross with a Diving Elbow to pick up the victory.

While Bayley lost the title later in the year to Charlotte Flair, it took her less than a week to win it back from The Queen.

This year, Cross is part of SmackDown and will be facing The Role Model on her own. On the other hand, Bayley’s best friend Sasha Banks will be challenging the RAW Women’s Champion Asuka for the title even though she is a part of the Blue brand.
