The Road to WrestleMania is finally here! The biggest event of the year in sports entertainment is just one month away, and everyone is in great anticipation of the first PPV on the path to WM.
For the first time in history, we are witnessing seven participants in the Men's Elimination Chamber, while the Women are making history of their own after the announcement of a Women's Elimination Chamber match.
After a spree of some terrifying good Monday Night RAWs, fans have high expectations for a PPV which looks weak on paper but has several talented performers on the card.
We look at five things fans are expecting from this PPV.
#5 Ronda gets Rowdy
One of the biggest talking points in WWE in recent times was the announcement of Ronda Rousey's much-awaited arrival in the sports entertainment industry. Royal Rumble saw the former Olympic medallist make her way to WWE, and immediately setting her sights on WrestleMania.
Rousey will be signing her official WWE contract tomorrow at Elimination Chamber, and fans are waiting in anticipation to see what unfolds during the segment. No WWE segment is without its shenanigans, and Rousey's contract signing will not be any different.
Could a face-off with the head-honchos, Stephanie and HHH, start a much-expected road to WM for Ronda Rousey?
#4 Bray Wyatt faces the Deletion
In a feud which started out brightly, Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt have tried their best to bring insanity and craziness to a fresh rivalry. However, WWE's decision to make this a feud solely based on the laughing gimmick of both the superstars has taken away the momentum from both the crazy superstars.
The Wyatt-Hardy rivalry should have died out weeks ago but is being prolonged for no reason whatsoever. A sore thumb sticking out of an excellent run of form RAW currently is in, Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy should lay their feud to rest at the PPV.
Could we see Hardy have a premonition and bring the Broken Universe to WWE, along with Senor Benjamin and Reby Hardy at the Elimination Chamber?
#3 Sasha Banks turns heel
In a move which has been teased for weeks, Sasha Banks should finally turn heel at the Elimination Chamber. Ever since the Royal Rumble match, Sasha Banks has shown shades of grey, which could be an indication of a change in her character.
Bayley-Sasha friendship has run its course, and a change in character could be a new lease of life for Banks on RAW. Sasha Banks and Bayley have found no room on RAW after the Absolution debut and Asuka RR win, and a tweak in their dynamic could be useful leading up to WM.
A heel turn in the Elimination Chamber will be a delightful sight for the WWE Universe.
#2 Braun Strowman and John Cena begin their paths
Out of the seven contestants in the Elimination Chamber match, Strowman and Cena are the only ones without a clear-cut picture leading up to WrestleMania. Seth Rollins has two former tag partners to take care of, Roman Reigns is widely predicted to challenge Lesnar, while Balor and Miz look to collide at WM. Elias is without a dance partner for WM, but he is still not on the level the other superstars are.
Strowman is being rumoured as Ronda's partner for WM, while WWE wants to finally book the dream match between Cena and The Undertaker. Both of these matches are still in the planning and haven't yet made their way to WWE television, so a start at the Elimination Chamber will be a pleasure to watch.
The Undertaker returning to cost John Cena his Wrestlemania spot will be a moment to behold!
#1 Seth Rollins proves why he is the MVP
Seth Rollins produced one helluva performance on Monday Night RAW last week, a career-defining performance in which he defeated two of the biggest superstars in the history of Monday Night RAW. Seth Rollins is determined to regain the spot which once belonged to him, and Elimination Chamber will be the perfect place to make his case.
Seth Rollins brings with him unparalleled momentum into the match, and WWE needs to make sure they capitalise on his new-found intensity. Rollins is finally showing why he deserves to be the face of WWE, and a great showing at EC could make him the ultimate fan-favourite.
Could Seth Rollins once again come out on top, shock the world by defeating Roman Reigns, and book a date with Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania? Only time will tell.
