So now, let's assume that Adam Pearce becomes the WWE Universal Champion. As the authority figure on both brands, he will still have to show up on the RAW brand with the Universal Championship.
The Miz could choose this moment to cash in on Adam Pearce to become the brand new WWE Universal Champion, in the ultimate surprise. Yes, this will essentially mean that both the WWE Champion and the WWE Universal Champion will be exclusive to the RAW brand, but it could lead to some interesting possibilities.

Maybe Goldberg becomes the WWE Champion and goes to the WWE SmackDown brand to call out Roman Reigns for a big match. Adam Pearce can then appoint someone from the RAW roster to take The Miz on.
It makes all the sense in the world for The Miz to go after the weakest challenger he has, to cash in his contract, which, in this case, is Adam Pearce.
