It's abundantly clear that Bobby Lashley vs Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship is the direction WWE could be heading. The build-up to their feud already started at Elimination Chamber, where Lashley cost McIntyre his WWE Championship.
Once Bobby Lashley wins the title, The Scottish Warrior can show up to challenge him. Many have said it makes no sense for this match to happen at WrestleMania 37, as they already collided for the title last year at Backlash 2020. However, the match makes all the sense in the world as it's pitting the best-booked babyface on RAW against arguably the best-booked heel.
It's a logical choice, and Bobby Lashley is quite possibly the best opponent for Drew McIntyre to defeat and get his WrestleMania moment this year. Yes, it would make Lashley's reign purely transitional, but it makes a lot of sense from a storytelling standpoint.
In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 37, McIntyre can be booked as an underdog fighting the odds against Lashley. It would make McIntyre's title win at The Grandest Stage of Them All even more rewarding.
