#1 WWE sows the seeds for The New Day's breakup
As mentioned before, The New Day has been one of the most successful factions in WWE history, with nothing much left to achieve on the main roster. They are eight-time Tag Team Champions. Besides, they even won the WWE Year-End award for being the best tag team of 2019.
Kofi Kingston proved last year that if allowed to excel in the singles division, he could become the WWE Champion. While Kingston is a Grand Slam Champion, Big E and Xavier Woods have not showcased their full potential in the singles department.
Just two days ago, Big E said on D-Von Dudley's Table Talk podcast that he was ready for a singles run in WWE. However, he felt that there was no need to break up The New Day.
But, if WWE wants to use Big E in the singles division, they should book him as a monster heel and allow him to destroy The New Day. He has the potential to become a World Champion. Big E is a former NXT Champion, and he has also held the Intercontinental title.
WWE can also use the hacker storyline to book this breakup. While The New Day's breakup would hurt the tag team division, it would open up many exciting possibilities for the trio in the singles division.
The seeds for this breakup could be sown at Extreme Rules, where a minor error from Kofi Kingston would cost The New Day their championships.
