#1 Edge could replace the Universal title with the big gold belt if he wins at WrestleMania
While Edge becoming the first Superstar to win all three WWE world titles at WrestleMania would be a fact, this is merely a fantasy. But while looking at the eerie nature of the story, it has a chance of happening. Edge retired on April 11th, 2011 as the World Heavyweight Champion.
He could become the Universal Champion on that very day, exactly a decade after having to vacate the big gold belt. Fast forward to the post-WrestleMania episode of SmackDown, and Edge could talk about his world title legacy. He could take the phrase 'continuing where I left off' in a completely literal sense.
After regaining the world title ten years from his retirement from WWE, The Rated-R Superstar may bring back the World Heavyweight Championship as a replacement for the Universal title. It would be a legendary moment and Edge is the right man to do it, since he is the Superstar who is the most synonymous with the big gold belt in WWE.
The Universal Championship is merely a colored version of the WWE Championship and it lacks in creativity, which is why fans have been vocal in wanting the big gold belt back. It has a beautiful look that reeks of (awesomeness) prestige. It would be quite a sight to see Edge as the World Heavyweight Champion on SmackDown in 2021.
Whether this dream scenario happens or not, the next few months are extremely exciting. If Edge and Roman Reigns are set to face each other for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 37, we better strap ourselves in because it is going to be one hell of a journey.
