Maryse's return to be part of the feud between Edge and The Miz on RAW has started some interesting rumors.
Beth Phoenix is a WWE Hall of Famer and was part of NXT until recently when she announced that she was stepping aside.

It's believed that this is because Phoenix is set to be pulled into the feud between her husband and The Miz as early as this week on RAW.

If Maryse's appearance on The Cutting Edge leads to a physical interaction between the former Divas Champion and The Rated R Superstar, then expect Phoenix to be waiting in the wings.
The former champion would make her return to RAW to help her husband in this feud and it could then be announced that the women will be part of the match at WWE Day 1.
If nothing else, this would allow the women to be in their partner's corners on January 1st and push the fued forward into The Royal Rumble.
