There have been reports that Rey Mysterio approaching the end of his WWE contract and may possibly not re-sign with the company. While him going to All Elite Wrestling could happen, Mysterio has a long career both in and out of WWE. With his son presumably debuting soon, maybe Rey Mysterio has actually decided to hang his boots in order to pave the way for his son.

The three-time World Champion is 45-years old and has been wrestling for more than 30 years now. Considering his high-flying wrestling style, one can only imagine the kind of toll that his body has taken over the years.

While we are so used to seeing such segments end in complete chaos, this might prove to be different. If Rey Mysterio indeed is retiring from WWE, we could see him cut a heartfelt promo about his career with the company. He has undoubtedly been one of the greatest underdogs in the history of WWE, defeating men way far larger than him. Rey Mysterio has proved that it is not always size, but also talent that decides how successful a performer can become in WWE.
