Seth Rollins faced Rey Mysterio on the Monday Night RAW after Money in the Bank and ended up viciously attacking his smaller rival. He gruesomely shoved Mysterio's eyes into the corner of the steel ring steps, seriously injuring him according to a WWE update on the situation.

Rey Mysterio’s injury status is still listed as critical. Doctors cannot properly assess the damage to his retina until the swelling subsides, as Rey is currently at-risk for infection. Mysterio suffered an eye injury when Seth Rollins grinded his face into the corner of the steel ring steps.

Of course, this entire thing happened as a storyline. Rey Mysterio won't have forgiven or forgotten the actions of Rollins. Especially with Seth announced to be the host of the retirement ceremony, the segment looks likely to be a perfect opportunity for Rey to gain some revenge.

While it initially looked like we were heading towards a Seth Rollins vs Aleister Black rivalry, WWE has announced that the two men will face each other next week on RAW. There seems, therefore, to be a great possibility that a Rey Mysterio Vs Seth Rollins feud is next for both men. It would be no surprise to see that rivalry go up another gear during Rey Mysterio's "retirement ceremony" next week.
