Many WWE fans still recall fondly Damien Sandow's 'stunt double' gimmick that he portrayed on WWE television during 2014 and 2015.

After being paired with The Miz, Sandow began mimicking the former WWE Champion during matches, falling down whenever his tag team partner did.

Will John Cena beat Ric Flair's record? A former WCW Champion thinks so HERE

Sandow revealed that the character all stemmed from boredom and the WWE creative team having nothing for him:

"I was completely bored on RAW. I was pretty much kind of at my wits end creatively, in terms of 'creative has nothing for you,' so they put me with Miz and I was with him for a couple of weeks and all of a sudden i'm on RAW. And i'm like 'you know what, if i'm going to be a stunt double i'm just going to fall down, I'm going to mimic him.'"

The former Mr. Money in the Bank then recalled a story about WWE Chairman Vince McMahon's reaction to the character:

"I got called over to Vince after when we get back to the Gorilla position. He gives me the glasses on the end of the nose. 'You just fell down when Miz fell.' 'Yes i'm his stunt double, i'm supposed to do that right?' 'Do whatever you want, i'm the only one that will tell you when to stop.' Ok. Didn't talk to the man for nine months. That's pretty much how that went down."

#1. Damien Sandow reveals the original plans for his WWE Money in the Bank cash-in

The highlight of Damien Sandow's career came in 2013 when he successfully captured the Money in the Bank contract, turning on is partner Cody Rhodes in the process.

Many within the WWE Universe assumed this would lead to a WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign for Sandow.

Unfortunately, Sandow became the first WWE Superstar to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase and lose. The Intellectual Savior To The Masses was defeated by then-World Champion John Cena on RAW in October 2013.

Sandow revealed that this wasn't originally supposed to happen. However plans changed:

"Yeah i was supposed to win it. Cody and I had our feud, everything was great. I heard I was going to win the World Title, Cody chases me and then we had a whole wonderful thing planned and yeah it didn't happen, but whatever. But I'm still very proud of that Money in the Bank match that we had. I think even Cody said this before, that was one of his favorite matches, if not his favorite in WWE and mine too. Just because, it's nothing to do with the fact that i won, but like in Philadelphia we had like seven heels and we made a babyface in that match. It was such a great moment."
