Riddle has often been compared to WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam

WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam is often compared to Riddle due to his laid-back and relaxed demeanor. When asked if a Riddle and RVD tag team would have worked, Riddle stated that they are very similar and a tag team could have worked:

"I think that tag team could have worked, definitely. Me and Rob Van Dam, we're two stallions. We're feather and the bird, the same flock. You what I'm saying? We're basically the same dude. The same bird feather."

However, Riddle was quick to point out that his successful tag teams in WWE have all featured WWE Superstars that were complete opposites to himself:

"A team makes sense but I've noticed with my teams, my success usually relies on with how different we are. My first tag team with Pete Dunne, the Broserweights. Pete's way different than me. Even with Randy right now, which we're having great success with, once he gets back here, but we've been having great success. But on camera we're complete opposite people. Because he's very serious, he lights people on fire you know? I ride a scooter and kick my flip flops off. We're two different people on camera."
