MSK won the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships in a Triple Threat Match at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. Since winning the title in April, Nash Carter and Wes Lee have already defended it a handful of times.

Their toughest match came against Legado del Fantasma at NXT TakeOver: In Your House 2021. The duo teamed up with Bronson Reed to compete in a six-man Winner Takes All tag team match.

MSK will defend their titles against Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher at the Great American Bash this week. Ciampa and Thatcher formed an unlikely tag team in WWE, and have been extremely effective ever since.

While Ciampa and Thatcher could go on to become the NXT Tag Team Champions, WWE must allow MSK to retain them instead. MSK has proven to be a great tag team that could even end up being as successful as The Usos or The New Day in WWE.

With that in mind, they need to keep the NXT titles for longer and have a good reign before dropping them and moving to the main roster.
