#3 Io Shirai must retain her WWE NXT Women’s Championship against Toni Storm

Io Shirai has been one of the best Women’s Champions in WWE NXT. The Genius of the Sky has not only proven her work inside the ring to be phenomenal, but she has also managed to make waves outside the ring thanks to her character and persona.

Shirai has managed to defend her NXT Women’s Championship against some of the top names in WWE. She has also defeated Sasha Banks in a non-title match on NXT.

This week, Shirai will face one of the biggest challenges in her career in the form of Toni Storm. Storm proved her worth in NXT UK by becoming the NXT UK Women’s Champion and is looking to replicate that success in NXT.

While Storm has some momentum coming into this match, WWE must allow Shirai to overcome her latest challenge and make her title reign even more memorable.

Superstars such as Ember Moon, Raquel Gonzalez, and Xia Li are waiting in line to reach the top of the ladder. WWE could allow Shirai to stretch her title reign a little longer before losing it to Moon or Gonzalez at a later date.
