#2 Finn Balor vs. Adam Cole must end in a no-contest on WWE NXT
Finn Balor has proven to be a fighting champion in WWE NXT. The NXT Champion has defended his title successfully against Superstars like Kyle O’Reilly and Pete Dunne. However, former Undisputed ERA member Adam Cole seems to be on the hunt and has already attacked Balor a few times.
Last week, Balor came down to the ring and tried to lure Cole out with an NXT Championship opportunity. The two men are now set to lock horns during this week’s episode of the Black & Gold brand.
WWE fans can expect an explosive match between these two men. They’ve already given a stellar performance in September 2020 while trying to win the vacant NXT Championship.
Even though many fans will want to watch Balor or Cole come out on top, WWE must allow this match to end in a no-contest.
An interference from O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, or Karrion Kross could open the door to a future match between the men on a bigger stage. NXT could look to add Kross or KOR to the scene and make it a Triple Threat Match for the next TakeOver event.
On the other hand, Pat McAfee could also show up to forge an unlikely partnership with Cole. In any case, having the match end in a no-contest will give time to WWE creatives to build this rivalry further.
