Last week on WWE NXT, Dexter Lumis competed in one of the biggest matches of his career as he took on WWE NXT Champion Adam Cole in a non-title match. While Cole showed how big a role experience plays in such matches, Lumis showed resilience and tried his best to defeat the reigning NXT Champion.

However, it was the interference from Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong that ultimately led to his downfall, after which all three members of the Undisputed Era beat down the Superstar. Velveteen Dream arrived to help him out and clear the heels before Cole was presented with a brand new challenger.

Dream lost to Cole at TakeOver: In Your House, and his dreams of becoming an NXT Champion were shattered at the event. However, Lumis tried to help him during the event by taking out Strong and Fish.

With no real direction for both the babyfaces now, the company could allow the two men to form a tag team and fill in the void left behind by The Broserweights. The two men are extremely good in the ring and can begin their partnership by going against Strong and Fish this week.

WWE NXT could also plan to put the two men into the NXT Tag Team Championship picture later on. This would also allow them to take out Strong and Fish from the equation to leave Cole to fend for himself against Karrion Kross.
