At WWE Extreme Rules, one of the Championships that were on the line from the WWE RAW brand was the United States Championship.

MVP had unveiled the new United States Championship belt a couple of weeks earlier and had laid claim to the title, stating that he would defeat Apollo Crews at Extreme Rules to prove that he is the real United States Champion.

While their match was set in stone for Sunday night, Apollo could not compete as he was not cleared by the medical team, and MVP claimed to have won the match by forfeit and become the new United States Champion.

This left the WWE Universe asking a few questions as to what had happened, and whether MVP was the new US Champion. The veteran took to Instagram to explain why he was the new United States Champion, and he should show up on RAW this week to once again push the same theory.

This would allow the WWE Universe to get a clearer picture and a possible clash between Apollo and MVP could take place at SummerSlam for the United States Championship.
