WWE NXT had a very eventful episode last week where the highlight was Leon Ruff’s surprise NXT North American Championship victory over Johnny Gargano. However, the two top Champions of NXT did not show up during the show. This week will be different as NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai and NXT Champion Finn Balor will both show up for different reasons.

While Shirai will look to defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley, Balor will appear to address his kingdom for the first time since his injury. While a few things could happen during the show, including Balor relinquishing the title, The Prince might find his next challenger.

Balor could come out to talk directly to the WWE Universe before he is cut off by the Superstar, who is looking to become the next NXT Champion. While WWE Superstar Karrion Kross could return to lay waste to Balor and set his sights on the title he never lost, we could also see Pete Dunne show up to challenge Balor.

This could end up being one of the most interesting and entertaining segments of the entire week if WWE manages to book it correctly.
